Message from Principal Thompson

Stallion Families,

We've had a great week!  We just wrapped up our MAP testing for all of our 1st -5th grade students, and we are looking forward to digging into the data as we prioritize our student growth this school year!  Yesterday we also begin celebrating our Hispanic Heritage Month with a virtual book reading. We invite you to check out some of the resources linked here to celebrate and bring awareness at home as well.

Our Lakewood team and families have been working hard together to make our pick-up and drop-off systems as safe and efficient as possible. You may see us using additional spaces used in the car lane in order to improve this system.

As a reminder, we would like to ask our parents in the carpool to please be mindful of neighbors on Lake Circle Drive. This street is a two-way street, and does not become a one-way until you turn onto Hillbrook Drive. We need to ensure our neighbors are able to get out of their driveways, especially during an emergency.  Please don’t block the two way or driveways when bypassing a parked car. You may see increased traffic police presence and ticketing during these times of drop-off and pick up. Please help us set the example and be leaders in our community.

Thank you for all that you do to make Lakewood a great neighborhood school!

Stallion Strong,

Principal Thompson
