Dear Lakewood Families,
What a fantastic start to the school year! I am so happy to be serving as your PTA President this year, and it feels especially meaningful to do so as we celebrate Lakewood’s 75th anniversary. I’m so grateful to everyone already giving their time and talents to our school, including my incredible Exec Team I’m lucky to serve alongside this year.
There are several ways to support Lakewood right now, starting with the final days of Stallion Strong,ourone-time donation fundraiser. That means we aren’t sending the kids (aka you!) around the neighborhood selling popcorn, cookie dough or, my personal favorite, wrapping paper. (Consider that our gift to you!)
The real value of Stallion Strong is what those donations make possible for our students, teachers and school throughout the year — Lakewood favorites like Stallion Store, LOLA, Movie Night, and so much more. The campaign ends Monday, September 21, so if you haven’t donated yet, there’s still time. Every contribution makes a difference!
Another great way to support LWE is through the LECPTA Auction Party. Tickets are officially live, and your participation directly supports LECPTA and the programs and resources it provides to Lakewood and schools throughout our feeder pattern. Grab your tickets to Lakewood Royale and join us for one of the most fun nights of the year!
Our Lakewood LEAPS team is also making exciting progress toward funding Lakewood’s new playground. We’re already 40% of the way to our goal, and with North Texas Giving Day happening today and donations being matched, it’s a great day to make your gift go even further.
