This weekend marks a super important (and super fun!) fundraising weekend for Lakewood Elementary, with our 9th Annual Lakewood House Party.

Lakewood House Party’s silent auction raises critical funds for our school, and is open for bidding now to anyone(!), even if you’re not able to attend the party.

The incredible House Party committee has secured one-of-kind experiences, vacation homes, sports tickets, health & fitness goods and more from generous donors. There’s something for everyone!

If you participated in this year's Secret Pal program, please fill out this RSVP form by Friday, April 25 so we can be sure we have enough breakfast treats and coffee for all.  Please bring your labeled gift to the party.  Thank you again for participating in the program this year.  We are so grateful for you!

We know everyone loves Stallion Store -- if you have already volunteered for a shift this year, please allow someone else the chance. Must be registered in VOLY. Thank you for volunteering!

Recess supervision of the chicken coop will allow you to experience one of our cool new resources, see your kids, and provide the opportunity for all kids in the school to have some 1:1 chicken time! 

Sign up using the QR code if you are interested. Chicken 101 orientation to the coop is required for those who need to complete volunteer training.

We had an incredible turnout at the recent Ties and Tiaras dance hosted by FOL.  Together, we raised over $10,000 to support our school while creating memories to last a lifetime.  Hope to see you again next year!

April is Arab American Heritage Month.  Be sure to check out the new bulletin board in the hallway heading to the cafeteria.

The Hollywood Santa Monica Home Tour is coming up and they are looking for docent volunteers.  All proceeds go to raising money for local schools including LWE.  Please sign up to volunteer here!

It’s time to get your “A” game together!  Come out on April 28 for the 7^th Annual Friends of Lakewood (FOL) Mark Parks Tournament.  We are changing the format some this year.  It’s going to be a 3-man scramble with 2 teams playing together on each hole.

Get your teams and sign up ASAP as there will be limited spots available. Entry fee includes a round of golf, 2 mulligans per player, tourney golf shirt, cart, bucket of practice balls, lunch, and beer ticket.  After the tournament we will award prizes and have some fellowship and fun.    

All the proceeds from this tournament go to the Mark Parks Scholarship Fund.  This scholarship benefits multiple Woodrow seniors each year who have attended both Lakewood Elementary and Woodrow Wilson High School.  This is a great cause and we are proud to continue honoring our late and great friend Mark in this fashion.

The Multicultural Committee is excited to host Lakewood's First Multicultural Fair on May 15 from 5-7 pm, and we would love your help in making this event a success! 

We are looking for volunteers to help in the following ways:

• Setting up and decorating
• Hosting a booth about a country or culture (can include food, artifacts, crafts, or activities)
• Assisting with performances or demonstrations
• Helping with set up and clean-up

Summer is fast approaching and Summer Cool 2025 Registration is open! We have exciting news- Summer Cool will be hosted on the Geneva Heights Elementary campus. Please use the QR provided on the flyer or the link below to register your student from Summer Cool 2025. 

Summer Cool will expose students to math and reading content, as well as extracurricular and enrichment activities! This program will be fromJune 2- June 26 at Geneva Heights Elementary School and the hours are 7:45am-3:45pm.

The Woodrow Wilson Wildcat Band Boosters are excited to present the 4th Annual CATFest, the band's major fundraising event for the year! It will be held on April 27th at Samuell-Grand Amphitheater from noon to 3 pm.
