Dear Lakewood Families,

It has been a great start to December on campus as we settle into this stretch before the winter break, and I want to take a moment to thank our parent volunteers. The many hours you pour into Lakewood make such a meaningful difference. From supporting our Lola programming and chaperoning field trips to helping with lunch bunch and so much more, your presence strengthens our community every single day. The festive decorations throughout our hallways have brought joy and energy to the building, and we are grateful for the creativity and care that went into making everything feel so special.

Our students in grades 3rd through 5th have been working incredibly hard on their quarterly mastery checks, and we are proud of the focus and effort they continue to show. Please join me in cheering on our 5th grade students as they prepare for their Science ACP on Tuesday the 16th. They do not need luck because they are ready, and we know they will do great!

Thank you for your continued partnership and for all you do to support our school community.

Stallion Strong,

Principal Thompson

2026 Bond Survey

The Bond 2026 survey link is now live and linked below.  DISD is currently gathering community input on the improvements and changes you would like to see on your campus, and your feedback is essential.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey as your response will have a direct impact. Survey will close on December 16.

At the end of the survey, there is a section for comments. This is a great place to share feedback specific to Lakewood Elementary and highlight the needs most important to our community.

Thank you so much for your support!  Contact sbdm@lakewoodelementary.net if you have any questions.
