Dear Lakewood Families, We’ve had another great week at Lakewood! We are especially proud of the strong attendance we are seeing across our campus, and our arrival times continue to get better and better. Thank you, families, for helping our Stallions arrive on time, ready to learn and make the most of each school day. There are also lots of exciting things happening around campus! Wizard of Oz auditions are underway, and we cannot wait to see our talented students shine. Our teachers are also busy planning upcoming field trips and learning experiences that will give students opportunities to explore, connect, and learn beyond the classroom. Next week, we’ll wrap up our short week with Student Picture Day on Friday, so get those smiles ready! As we head into the three day weekend, we hope your family has time to rest, recharge, and enjoy being together. It’s also a great opportunity to practice some of our Leader in Me habits at home. Encourage your child to Be Proactive by helping with a family responsibility, Begin With the End in Mind by setting a goal for the week ahead, or simply Sharpen the Saw by getting outside (in the morning when it's cool), reading a great book, playing together, and getting plenty of rest. Thank you for continuing to partner with us and for helping our students start each day ready to learn, lead, and grow. Tickets Go Live September 10! New to Lakewood? Auction Party is one of the biggest nights of the year—and you don’t want to miss it! Hosted by the Lakewood Early Childhood PTA (LECPTA), Auction Party is an adults-only night that brings together Lakewood families and friends for a fun evening out while raising important funds for Lakewood Elementary and our feeder pattern schools. This year’s theme is Lakewood Royale: Luck & Legacy, happening Friday, November 6 at The Statler. Expect a night of cocktails, food, a band, dancing, live and silent auctions, Sign-Up Party tickets go on sale and plenty of Lakewood fun—all while giving back to our schools. Tickets go on sale Thursday, September 10 at 9AM. Tickets are limited and some levels are expected to sell quickly, so set your alarm and grab your crew! |
