Protocol for Leaving School When Sick

Please remind your children that if they don't feel well and want to go home, the protocol is for students to request to go to the Nurse's office with their teacher. After a nurse assessment, if students meet the criteria to be sent home (fever, vomit, etc.), our nursing staff will notify parents to pick up their children. In order to ensure our students are safe and learning, students should not be texting during school hours, including texting requests to be picked up from school as a form of self-dismissal. Thank you for your support!

Please join us as we help spruce up the Lakewood school gardens for the fall this Saturday, September 24th from 8am-12pm. We will be weeding, pruning, and mulching. There will be donuts, and student volunteers receive a free dress pass! Please sign up here!

Lakewood Children's Choir

Lakewood Children's Choir is for 1st & 2nd Graders who enjoy singing and being part of a team with other young and eager Stallion Singers! We will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:30 in the Auditorium starting October 5th. Our LWE Choir singers will be featured along with our LWE Instrument Ensemble in The Stallion’s Holiday Concert Live On the Lawn Thursday, December 8th at 5:30PM. Learn more and sign up here.

It’s time to get your “A” game together and come on out for the 7th Annual Friends of Lakewood (FOL) Fundraiser Golf Tournament. All the proceeds from this tournament will go to the Mark Parks Scholarship Fund.

This is a great cause and we are very excited about continuing to honor Parks in this way. This scholarship will benefit a Woodrow Wilson High School Senior each year that attended Lakewood/Long/Woodrow. Get your teams together and sign up ASAP as there will be limited spots available. Entry fee includes your golf, cart, lunch, beer ticket, raffle entry, and prizes.

Stallion Strong Update
  • Stallion Strong raises critical funds to fill gaps in our school’s budget and support needs and wants that directly benefit our students!
  • School goal: $80,000!  WE CAN DO IT! 
  • We are asking for a contribution of $125 per student
  • For highest participation, we will be rewarding classes (TCBY), grades (free dress & treat), and parents of winning class (coffee with Ms. Thompson)!
  • Each family that donates $125 will receive a new Stallion Strong donor sign
