Is your child in 1st–5th grade and new to our school? We’d love to help your family connect with other families who are also getting to know the school and community!

Sign up to meet other parents and caregivers of 1st–5th graders who are new to the school. We’ll use the information you provide to keep you in the loop about opportunities to connect, including casual meetups, and other activities throughout the school year.

New Family Orientation

Each August, our PTA New Family Team hosts an orientation to help new families get ready for the school year. From arrival and dismissal procedures to uniforms, school communications, helpful tips, and available resources, the presentation covers the essentials for a successful start at Lakewood.

While the 2026 New Family Orientation has already taken place, our New Family Team is here to support families all year long. If you're new to LWE and have questions at any point during the year, reach out to Haley Dugas, New Family Chair, at newfamily@lakewoodelementary.net.
