Top: white or navy polo (some like to monogram; no more than 2”)
Bottom: Navy, black or khaki shorts, skirts, pants or jumper
Shoes: closed toe (athletic shoes are best)
Cold Weather: sweater, sweatshirt, jacket, athletic tights, leggings, hat, gloves (these can be any color)
Optional Plaid
In addition to our current school uniform choices, we will have a new plaid option, Plaid #57! Its a blue, gray and gold plaid and items in this pattern are available through several retailers including Amazon, Land's End and more! Lets add some plaid LWE!
Other Days
- Fridays/Spirit Day – Your child can wear uniform bottoms with a Lakewood shirt, Woodrow/Long shirt or college shirt.
- Special Dress Days - Throughout the year, there will be special days across DISD like crazy socks for World Down Syndrome Day.
- Spirit Store - this is where to purchase Lakewood branded items. New link coming soon!
- Kinder kids will receive a shirt to wear on the first day of school. Keep this as you will wear it on field trips.
Backpacks:
Dallas ISD will require clear backpacks for all students starting in the 2023-2024 school year.
As an additional option, mesh backpacks will be acceptable, however clear ones are preferred. Students may carry a small, nonclear pouch in their backpack to hold personal items, such as cellphones, money, and hygiene products. To support families, each student will be provided a durable clear backpack at no cost. Parents may also purchase the preferred clear backpack, or the acceptable mesh backpack, for their students.
