NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
STAAR TESTING REDESIGN REPORTING UPDATES

The spring 2023 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) has been redesigned to align closer to classroom instruction and the unique ways students learn. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has indicated that reporting final test results for the redesigned STAAR will take a bit longer this year because educators from across the state will meet to provide their expert opinions on the passing scores for the redesigned assessments.

TEA has created resources regarding the spring 2023 STAAR reporting timelines.

STAAR 3-8 Reporting Timelines

  • On August 11, 2023, districts can access STAAR 3-8 scale scores, performance levels, and STAAR Report Cards and make decisions regarding a student.
  • On August 16, 2023, STAAR 3-8 results for families will be made available in the Family Portal.

The new Family Portal was launched on January 2, 2023, and is available for parents to view test scores for the Texas Assessment Program. The portal can be accessed via the Texas Assessment.gov website, https://www.TXFamilyPortal.org, or by using the single sign on feature in PowerSchool.

In the event of a rain-out, makeup dates are as follows: Grades K - 2: Wednesday, May 17; Grades 3-5: Thursday, May 18. Please sign up for a shift for grades 3-5 on May 12 here. K-2 does not need parent volunteers (older Stallions help out instead!).

Please return all library books on May 15 & 16. If you would like to check your student's library account, please use this link and follow the directions on the flyer. Thank you!

Order here.

Tomorrow is the last day to order a memory brick!

This year our 3rd-5th grade GT students invite parents to view their spring semester GT final projects. This is a casual, come-and-go gallery walk style event.

How SWEET it was...
