Lakewood families,

Thank you to everyone that was able to attend and participate in the 9th Annual Lakewood House Party and Silent Auction last weekend!

Because of your generosity, preliminary numbers show that we most certainly broke records, and far exceeded our goal! The grand total will be announced at the last General PTA meeting of the year on Wednesday, May 7th at 5:45 p.m. and appear in next week’s eNews.

On behalf of the Lakewood Elementary community, I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to Stephanie Bowen Wright, Genniva Bruce and Lauren Wesley, our amazing event and auction co-chairs, for putting together an extremely successful and fun night for our school.

Thank you also to every committee member and volunteer who pitched in – whether you helped with soliciting donations, planning, setting up, sponsoring or bidding – we couldn’t have done it without you. What an incredible community!

Speaking of incredible…

Please join me in recognizing our esteemed principal, Brittany Thompson, as today, May 1st, is School Principals’ Day!

Our students, staff and families are very fortunate to have the leadership of Principal Thompson at Lakewood Elementary. In her five years here, her hard work, vision and commitment to excellence have made a positive and lasting impact on our school, it’s students and our community.

On behalf of the Lakewood families, THANK YOU PRINCIPAL THOMPSON! We are so grateful for you.

Stallion Strong,

Caitlin Maddox
