Dear Lakewood Families,

As we head into the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for the generous outpouring of appreciation you have shown our teachers and staff. Your kind words, thoughtful gestures, and continued support truly mean so much to our team.

A special shout out goes to our incredible teachers for their flexibility and quick thinking during the recent inclement weather and power outages. Even with these unexpected challenges, our team remained focused on keeping things moving for our students with care and professionalism. We are so fortunate to have such a strong and dedicated staff.

The next few weeks are filled with exciting events, celebrations, and important moments as we prepare to close out the school year. We look forward to finishing strong and sharing these special memories with you.

Dust off your boots! The LECPTA Auction Party theme is...Deep In the Heart of Lakewood! Join us Friday, November 7 at Gilley's Dallas for an unforgettable, upscale western-themed night benefiting East Dallas schools. Tickets will go on sale in September.

Merch is NOW AVAILABLE for pre-order through May 23. Orders will be ready June 18. Perfect for LWE Spirit Days (Fridays), these pieces celebrate the spirit of Lakewood and East Dallas and won’t be restocked!

Through events like Auction Party, LECPTA (Lakewood Early Childhood PTA) proudly distributed $400,000 to our East Dallas feeder pattern schools this year, including $105,000 to Lakewood Elementary School.

It's almost summer time! Please sign up to complete "chicken 101" training and then select a slot at the bottom of the sign up genius to check in on the chickens over the summer.

The code to the coop will change frequently so you must be officially on the sign-up! Volunteers will keep the eggs they collect over the summer as an added bonus.

The PTA Teacher Workroom committee would like to say THANK YOU to everyone who donated throughout the school year to the monthly grade level “stock the workroom" for our teachers and staff. The EduKit program is a convenient option for busy families to order school supplies for the 2025/2026 school year. EduKits include the supplies approved by our teachers for each grade level.

Order before June 19th to have your order delivered to your classroom on the first day of school!

NEW OPPORTUNITY AT THE COOP!

Recess supervision of the chicken coop will allow you to experience one of our cool new resources, see your kids, and provide the opportunity for all kids in the school to have some 1:1 chicken time!

Hello families,

Summer is fast approaching and Summer Cool 2025 Registration is open! We have exciting news- Summer Cool will be hosted on the Geneva Heights Elementary campus. Please use the QR provided on the flyer or the link below to register your student from Summer Cool 2025.

Summer Cool will expose students to math and reading content, as well as extracurricular and enrichment activities! This program will be fromJune 2- June 26 at Geneva Heights Elementary School and the hours are 7:45am-3:45pm.
