Dear Lakewood Families,
As we close the chapter on another incredible school year, I just want to take a moment to say thank you. Truly, thank you.
This year has been filled with so many moments of joy, growth, resilience, celebration, and connection. From classroom learning and performances to field trips, science camp, Field Day, leadership opportunities, celebrations, and the countless small moments in between, our students have continued to amaze us every single day. Watching them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and as leaders has been one of the greatest privileges of all.
Lakewood is such a special place, not simply because of our programs or traditions, but because of our people. Our students, staff, families, volunteers, and community members make this school what it is. The support, trust, encouragement, generosity, and partnership you pour into this campus does not go unnoticed.
To our teachers and staff, thank you for loving children so deeply and giving so much of yourselves day after day. The care, patience, creativity, and heart you bring to this work changes lives.
To our families, thank you for sharing your children with us, supporting our campus, volunteering your time, cheering us on, and partnering with us through every challenge and celebration. We are so grateful for the trust you place in us each day.
And to our students, thank you for bringing joy, laughter, curiosity, creativity, and energy to our hallways and classrooms. You are the heart of this school, and we could not be more proud of each of you.
As summer begins, I hope your days are filled with rest, laughter, adventure, family time, and memory making. Whether you are traveling, attending camps, reading books at home, sleeping in a little later, or simply slowing down together, I hope this season brings time to recharge and enjoy the people you love most.
Thank you for another unforgettable year at Lakewood. It is truly an honor to serve this community and lead alongside such an incredible team.We already cannot wait to welcome our Stallions back in the fall.
Have a wonderful and safe summer, and as always, Stallion Strong.
With Stallion Pride and Gratitude,
Principal Thompson
