In the mornings, buses will follow their designated routes and drop off at Lakewood. There are staff members on duty to escort and supervise bus riders in the school cafeteria until school starts.

In the afternoons during dismissal, students will go to their designated bus rider's location to be escorted to busses and verified in the PikMyKid App before boarding.

If you would like your child to ride the bus, please contact Mr. Campbell with your child's name and bus number. He will register that route in PikMyKid.  Then, using the PikMyKid app, please ensure that you have designated your child's mode of transportation with their bus number, or they will not be boarded on to the bus and you will have to come and pick him or her up from school.  

 

Note: In line with district policy, we will only load students on the bus assigned to their home address. We cannot allow students to ride a different bus for playdates.

DISD uses the SmartRide Transportation program to track the location of students while they are on the bus. To request a new, lost, or stolen SmartRide Card, use this link.
