Dress-Up Day: School Spirit Attire (Attendance Awareness Month)
All Dress-Up Days are optional.
Dallas ISD September Attendance Awareness Month
Week 1 — Wednesday, Sept. 2
Present, proud and prepared to show up!
Wear your favorite school spirit attire and school colors with pride! Together, let’s show that attendance matters and that every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
Week 2 — Wednesday, Sept. 9
Attendance is no sweat!
Wear your favorite athletic gear, jersey, or school-approved workout clothes and show everyone that coming to school every day is no sweat!
Week 3 — Wednesday, Sept. 16
Travel back in time: Attendance never goes out of style!
Dress in clothing inspired by your favorite decade—from the fabulous ’50s to the colorful 2000s. Celebrate in style while staying committed to being present every day.
Week 4 — Wednesday, Sept. 23
Saddle up & show up!
Dust off your cowboy boots, hats, plaid shirts, and western gear as we celebrate Western Day! Every school day is an opportunity to ride toward success.
Week 5 — Wednesday, Sept. 30
Community heroes show up every day – and so do our students!
Heroes don’t always wear capes—they show up when they’re needed. Dress as a police officer, firefighter, military, nurse, teacher, or another community hero.
